In what is probably one of two (or is that three?) promises that Obama will actually keep over his two terms as our beloved ruler, our president on Monday proposed his new climate plan intended to cut carbon emissions 30% by the year 2030, signaling an even tougher stance on the coal industry in the name of stopping the ever-more apocalyptic “global warming.” Or “climate change.” Or “climate disruption.” Whatever floats their environmentally friendly boats.
“Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket,” says a shockingly honest Mr. Obama a few years back. “Regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad – because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, natural gas, you name it – whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”
This is not to mention the number of power plants this proposal will forcibly shut down and, hence, the countless jobs that will follow as a result, since coal accounts for almost 40% of electricity production in the U.S. Not to mention the impact the manufacturing sector will suffer as a result of said skyrocketing energy costs, resulting in further outsourcing of jobs overseas due to the already hostile regulatory environment our overlords have created in this “Free” and “capitalist” country.
As far as the hysterical fear-mongering we increasingly hear when it comes to the discredited claims of “climate change,” Alex Jones has done an excellent job at exposing the gigantic hoax that has taken the authoritarian Left by storm.
